VBS in VA-Day 1 and 2

It is VBS time in VA. We came up to help and attend. The theme for this year is the Boomerang Express. We are talking about Peter from the Bible and Australia.
On the first day we learned about Peter following Jesus. Today we talked about Peter walking on the water.
The kids have made crocodile visors, didgeridoos, masks and bags.
When I asked about what they had done or learned about.
A4 God helped Peter out of the water. He was trying to look what he was doing.We played with cars-vehicles. We played outside. We played in sand.
A3 I played outside. My verse, God loved us...and his only Son Jesus. (I am impressed that she still remembers this 8 hours ago she knew the whole thing.) I read about that in my book.
The verse for the week is 1 John 4:9 God loved us and He sent His only son Jesus.

Things God Made - week 1

We went for a walk in our neighbor hood the other day and I asked the kids to tell me things that they saw and heard that God made. A2 and L1 1/2 were in the double stroller and A4 was walking.
A2 pointed out the horses across the street right away. All of a sudden L1 1/2 started trying to get out of his seat and pointing in 2 directions at once. He had found a bird and a flowers at the same time. A4 then saw some more flowers and we talked about the colors.
We also spotted a sycamore tree, several more birds, dogs, grass, a white butterfly, a kitty cat, dirt and the sun.
We heard the bird and the dogs.
We felt the sun on our face.
When we got home I asked the kids what their favorite was. A4 said the butterfly and A2 said the horse.


W e will definitely be doing this more.
